General The PSU (Power Supply Unit) supplier has used several suppliers for the bridge component
BD1 (Panjit & Taiwan Semiconductor). Afterwards it became clear that the Panjit component
sustained some production process damage. The PSUs with the Panjit component need to be
replaced.
Symptom No power
(Fuse F2 open and Bridge diode BD1 damage in the PSU)
Cause Defective Panjit bridge diode BD1
Servicing When servicing any TV sets with serial number prior to the above serial number, please check if
the imprint of the bridge diode BD1 is “KBU 6M”(Panjit component). If so, the PSU is NG. Please
replace the NG PSU with a OK PSU.
Regarding the procedure of replacing the PSU, refer to the “Replacement of Power Supply
Unit” in the next page.
