Servicing
In some TV sets, due to crack of one or several capacitors of inverter units, is possible that appear the following
symptoms:
- Half screen becomes dark (right side)
- No backlight
- TV set does not power on, LED blinking indicates LAMP ERROR (Power LED blinks once).
When some of the above TV sets is called for service due to the described symptom, check the waveform of VS
terminal (IC7501), measuring on jumper JP7512 (32”) or JP7528 (37”). When the waveform is NG, please
change all the below listed capacitors by new ones.
Follow the procedure at the next pages of this technical report.
If the waveform is OK, the symptom is not caused by capacitor crack defect mentioned in this technical report.
