When some of the above TV is called for service due to the phenomenon described, proceed
to modify the set as follows:
- Check on screen the VGC (Main) Software Version. In case it was V2.34 Version or lower,
proceed to update this by V2.35 Version or upper:
Update the VGC software (Main PWB) using the fi le “46_52xd1_v235.img” or upper, and following
the own Service Manual (See 5-1 of 46/52XD1E Service Manual No. S76V5LC46XD1E).
When “loudness” is switched on in Sound menu, it works immediately (volume presetting to 13).
But as soon the channel is changed, it can be heard that loudness has been deactivated until the
the volume has been increased up to 15 (or higher). Then it can be appreciated that loudness has
been switched on again. Now it can be decreased the volume under 15, loudness works fi ne until
the channel is changed once more.
