Is possible that some TV sets don’t turn on due to some components are damaged at the
Power Supply unit, mainly Q701, D743, R899 and D716.
When some of the above TV sets is called for service please apply this modifi cation in order to
solve the problem:
Inspection:
1- Check if D706 is mounted (See fi gure 1 at page 2 for PWB location).
2- Check if Q701, D743, R899 and D716 are broken (See fi gure 1 and fi gure 2 at page 2 for
PWB location).
Countermeasure:
1- If D706 is mounted, please remove this component.
2- If Q701, D743, R899 and D716 are broken, please replace these components as is indicated
at the above table (PARTS).
